Salesforce and Anthropic launch Claudeforce, connecting enterprise workflows with Claude
The new partnership gives Claude access to Salesforce data and workflows, along with 37 ready-made sales skills
Salesforce and Anthropic have expanded their strategic partnership under the name “Claudeforce,” integrating their products across Claude, Salesforce, and Slack.
A key component is Salesforce in Claude, a plugin for Claude Cowork that lets users access Salesforce data and workflows directly from the Claude interface. The plugin includes 37 prebuilt Sales Skills for tasks such as meeting preparation, deal-status reviews, and pipeline analysis.
The integration runs through AIforce, which Salesforce describes as an Enterprise Harness—a system layer that makes organizational data and processes available to AI. Data access remains subject to Salesforce governance and security controls, ensuring that actions comply with user permissions and business rules.
Meanwhile, Claude inside Salesforce will bring Claude into Salesforce’s Agentforce service as a reasoning model. Claude will also become the primary model for AI features in Slack, including Slackbot. This means the partnership extends beyond a single plugin to cover more of Salesforce’s core work channels.
Salesforce in Claude is now available to pilot customers, with an Open Beta planned for September 2026.
The move reflects a headless strategy that lets users access CRM data and processes through an AI assistant without opening a traditional application interface each time. However, real-world performance remains to be seen, particularly the accuracy of outputs and permission controls when AI acts on business data.
Thai organizations using Salesforce or Slack may be able to handle sales tasks more easily through Claude, but they should assess data-access permissions, accuracy, and internal requirements before deployment.
