Agentcard.sh, a new startup from the Y Combinator (Summer 2026 cohort), has launched a service called "Agentcard for companies," designed specifically to give AI agents spending power.

The service provides an API that allows developers to integrate payment capabilities directly into their AI products. Key features include creating "cardholders" for each client and issuing virtual debit cards for AI agents, which can be configured as single-use or restricted based on specific requirements.

The system highlights real-time transaction approval, eliminating the need for companies to pre-fund accounts. This enables AI agents to handle tasks requiring payment, such as booking flights or purchasing online services, more autonomously and seamlessly. The service recently debuted on Product Hunt, reaching the top 15-16 products of the week on July 13th.

Founded by Felipe Abello and Karen Serfaty in San Francisco, the startup notes that it should not be confused with Alchemy's "AgentCard," which previously announced a partnership with Visa.

Why it matters
This represents critical infrastructure that could unlock true end-to-end automation for AI agents, moving beyond simple tasks to real-world transactions like travel bookings or procurement without requiring human intervention for every payment.
