Gemini Notebook can now import eBooks from Google Play Books for use with AI
Google’s AI notebook app now lets users import purchased eBooks to ask questions, summarize content, and create learning materials.
Google has announced a new update to its AI notebook app, which was rebranded from NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook. Users can now directly import eBooks purchased through Google Play Books as sources in their notebooks.
The new feature, called "Expert Intelligence," lets users interact with their favorite books in various ways, including asking in-depth questions, summarizing key points, creating infographics and quizzes, and generating AI-powered podcasts from the books’ content.
At launch, the feature will support more than 100,000 titles from leading publishers. Books compatible with Gemini Notebook will be clearly labeled "Available for Gemini Notebook," making them easy to identify and import.
It makes reading, studying, and researching textbooks or nonfiction much faster and more convenient by letting AI instantly summarize and answer questions about a book’s content.
