Nikita Bier, Head of Product at X, officially announced his resignation on August 5, 2026, after serving for over 400 days or approximately 13 months (since July 2025). During his tenure, he was a key figure in communicating and updating the platform's new features.
Bier explained via X that the role was intense and required 24/7 responsibility, making it the right time to hand over the position, return to being a regular X user, and take a breather. However, he is not leaving the company entirely and will transition to an advisory role.
During his 400+ days in office, X made progress in several areas, including launching around 30 new products, improving core features, and climbing higher in the App Store rankings.
