Google has launched Student Hub, a dedicated hub for students on Gemini at gemini.google.com/students, timed for the back-to-school season. It consolidates study tools in one place, including organizing research into Study Notebooks, generating flashcards, and practicing with quizzes.

The Study Notebooks feature has been upgraded to support graphs and images, making study materials easier to digest. Integration with Google Calendar can scan exam schedules and assignment deadlines from a course syllabus and automatically add them to the calendar, so students no longer have to jot down important dates themselves.

Gemini also supports Deep Research for commissioning in-depth AI-generated research reports, and Gemini Live for voice conversations that can keep running in the background even with the screen off. It can also generate 3D models to explain complex topics, such as those in science or engineering.
