Argos launches Media Sharing to let AI feed images into GitHub Pull Requests
Argos (Argos CI) introduces the Media Sharing feature to bypass GitHub API limitations, enabling AI agents and automation systems to attach images and videos to Pull Requests.
In modern software development, AI coding agents play an increasingly crucial role in writing and reviewing code. However, they have long faced a limitation: GitHub lacks a public API for directly uploading media files into PR comments, preventing AI from instantly displaying screenshots or video evidence of their work to teams.
Recently, Argos developed the "Media Sharing" tool specifically to solve this issue. It allows developers and AI agents to upload screenshots and screen recordings from the terminal or automated systems, converting them into links and Markdown that can be easily pasted into GitHub Pull Requests or Issues.
The tool supports various channels such as CLI, Node.js SDK, REST API, and MCP (Model Context Protocol). It also features a versioning system that automatically updates existing links if a file with the same name is re-uploaded, as well as support for before-and-after image comparisons to make code reviews more efficient.
It unlocks technical constraints for developers using AI for coding, enabling them to seamlessly and automatically verify application UI results through GitHub.
