Solos Unveils New Camera-Free AI Glasses, Highlighting Ultra-Light 19-Gram Design

Solos announced the launch of a new camera-free smart glasses model in its AirGo lineup, weighing approximately 19 grams (excluding lenses). This is nearly half the weight of its predecessor, the AirGo A5 (which weighs 36-40 grams), making them one of the lightest AI glasses announced to date. Despite lacking a camera, this model features an AI assistant controllable by voice commands via the SolosChat system, which can provide real-time translation, record audio, send messages, and manage schedules. It also includes open-ear speakers for listening to music and making phone calls. Concurrently, Solos also introduced a 'Privacy Kit' for its camera-equipped AirGo V2 glasses, a physical camera lens cover designed to enhance user privacy. This announcement was made at the AI Smartglasses Symposium 2026 in Hong Kong. However, pricing and availability for this camera-free model have not yet been disclosed.

Why it matters
The introduction of camera-free and ultra-light AI glasses reflects a market trend towards more natural-looking wearables with reduced privacy concerns.
